Ryan Clancy hyped the crowd immediately and the competitors’ tied-up. Following numberless reversals in the tie-up, Banks delivered a slam and hyped the crowd to try and win a quick pinfall. Chris Banks relied on dirty tactics equipped in his arsenal while the referee wasn’t watching. After being on the receiving end of a gruesome eye gouge, Clancy eventually made his way to the top turnbuckle but Banks reversed his flying attempt. Drama ensued when Clancy hit a soaring cross body but Banks kicks out at two of the pinfall. Clancy fired up the crowd, taunting near the ropes but the ECW hat guy grabbed Clancy to give Banks an option to land a free shot. A confident Chris Banks notified the ECW Hat Guy he can beat Ryan Clancy himself. While Banks was distracted from his conversation, Clancy secured a quick roll-up for the victory. After the match, Banks met Clancy in the center of the squared circle and extended his hand for a handshake. The crowd informed Clancy not to shake Banks’ hands. After thinking about it carefully, Clancy extends his hands and the two men shake hands.
It’s highly conceivable that Chris Banks has adequate skill and confidence to hang with the best that WWWA has to offer. ECW Hat Man seems to be more of a burden holding back Banks than an advantage against his opponents. Was this the last we’ve seen the pair together? If Chris Banks were to stay away from the ECW Hat Man, he could easily prove to the WWWA Universe that in order to be successful and rise to the top, Chris Banks only needs Chris Banks.
